Laser Light Therapy
What Is Laser Light Therapy?
Laser light therapy, also referred to as LED light therapy or low-level light therapy (LLLT),
uses specific therapeutic wavelengths of light to energize cells and support the body’s natural
regeneration and repair processes. Treatments are non-invasive, completely safe, and pain-free,
with no required downtime.
This in-office system use higher-powered, medical-grade LEDs compared with most
at-home devices, which can make treatments more effective and consistent for skin, pain, and
wellness goals.
How Laser Light Therapy Works
Different light wavelengths penetrate to different depths in the body. When targeted light reaches
the cells, it is absorbed by structures such as the mitochondria, helping increase ATP (cellular energy)
and supporting healthier cellular function. This process is often called photobiomodulation.
Our system uses three primary light types:
Red Light (approx. 630–660 nm)
Primary uses:
- Skin rejuvenation and healing
- Supports collagen and elastin production
- Helps reduce fine lines and improve skin texture
- Calms redness and irritation
- Assists with wound healing and post-procedure recovery
How it works: Red light penetrates about 2–3 mm into the skin and
helps energize cells to produce more ATP, enhancing repair and regeneration in the upper layers of tissue.
Blue Light (approx. 405–470 nm)
Primary uses:
- Acne-prone skin support
- Targets acne-causing bacteria on the skin’s surface
- Helps manage excess oil and congestion
How it works: Blue light acts closer to the skin’s surface.
It interacts with compounds produced by acne-related bacteria and helps neutralize them, supporting a
clearer-looking complexion.
Infrared (IR) Light (approx. 850–940 nm)
Primary uses:
- Deep tissue healing and pain relief
- Muscle and joint recovery
- Support for connective tissues and circulation
- Helps reduce stiffness, soreness, and minor arthritis-related discomfort
How it works: Infrared light reaches deeper layers (up to several centimeters),
stimulating cellular metabolism and increasing local circulation, which can help the body repair
muscles, joints, and connective tissues from the inside out.
